Pyramid Schemes and Something You Probably Don’t Know But Should
What You Should Know About Pyramid Schemes
When it comes to Pyramid Schemes, we all tend to think of companies like Amway and other similar MLMs/Network Marketing Companies. If you have ever joined an MLM and talked to family and friends, usually the first thing that comes out of their mouth is something like this, “Oh, so you joined one of those pyramid schemes.” Then they run and hide.
Those pyramid schemes have a bad reputation and rightfully so, but not for the reasons we all think. Actually, the business plan is one I’ve admired ever since I was first exposed to it. How can you knock any company that has an interest in developing those who work for it? You see, the problem isn’t really in the business plan in regards to down line structure, it is how it is, or perhaps I should say, how it isn’t implemented, but I will discuss that in a moment. (confused yet?)
Understanding 2 Types of Pyramid Schemes
What I want you to understand about pyramid schemes is something very few people seem to realize. Every business out there that has employees operates as a pyramid. Think about it. There is a boss at the top. Under him is usually a manager (or managers), and then there are the employees who do the grunt work who work under those managers. How many managers and employees there are varies as there are large and small companies.
Now ask yourself one really big question…. when the owner of that company opened his business, was he thinking about making a profit for himself, or was he thinking about developing and furthering the careers of those who will work for him and sharing those profits with his employees?
The answer is obvious, as there are very few business owners who actually take money out of their own pockets and share those profits with their employees. The person at the top makes ALL the money, and those who work for him/her make a salary or hourly wage which barely pays the bills. Chances are, you are one of those people. If not, you certainly know someone who is.
I have some bad news for you…this guaranteed salary is usually a guaranteed ceiling, you won’t make more than that unless your boss is willing to offer a raise or a bonus. Very few people actually realize this is the case. They go through life thinking that one day their ship will come in.
When it comes to pyramid schemes, most of us think about MLM/Network Marketing Companies. The basic business plan exists to further the income and development of everyone involved. Everyone has a chance to be successful. So why doesn’t that usually happen? Why does this pyramid scheme have such a bad reputation when the basic business plan seems so good?
There is a simple answer to that question. The reason for the failure of this business model usually revolves around people, and greed. I know this because I have worked in a number of MLM companies. The people that recruited me operated their team in much the same way as the business owner at the top of his company, they were only concerned about themselves, and not those that they brought in below them. Every MLM/Network Marketing company out there will fail when people take this approach. In reality, if they would take care of advancing their people, their greed would have been satisfied.
This business model cannot be successful unless the people involved put the success of those they bring into the organization a top priority. Those who build their team are guaranteed success as long as the product is a decent product that can be taken to market.
Which Of The Pyramid Schemes Is Better?
That depends on who is at the top of the pyramid? Many businesses are successful, but there is usually only one person who gets all the money,
the owner of the company. Sometimes, the owner is willing to share some of that success with those who help them get there, but that isn’t always the case. Of these two types of pyramid schemes, this one is designed to make the owner money. For some reason, people don’t seem to mind working in the lower rungs of this ladder, as they think they can climb to the top. Ooops, the owner is at the top. Somehow, this simple point is always forgotten.
Some people in MLM companies are successful, but many fail. It all has to do with which business model they use, the one that is based on the greed principal, or the one based on building those in the organization. Those that operate on the greed principle often start off very good, and make a ton of money, but little by little the team starts to notice the true character of the leader, and that team eventually falls apart the same way it was built, one person at a time. This is what people think of when they think of pyramid schemes.
The successful MLM/Network Marketing company is built on one main principle… Leaders Building Leaders! Every person brought into the organization has the opportunity to build their own company within the company, to be their own boss, and to be successful financially. As long as they build those they bring into the organization, success is guaranteed.
I’ve spent years looking for a company that meets my strict standards. It’s been a long and difficult search. Watch the video below, and see exactly what the guy at the very top has to say, it is quite impressive. A group of us have teamed up and have decided to work this business as a business, and as a team. The goal, is to build and train leaders. We aren’t looking to build followers, we are looking to develop those who want to have the success they have always dreamed of, and are willing to do what it takes to achieve that success. This is the MLM business model exactly the way it was intended to be. And… the product is awesome as well!
Pyramid Schemes – Which Business Model is Best For You?
Don’t let that phrase pyramid schemes scare you, every business falls into that category. Look carefully though at which business model can get you to where you want to be in the future. Can you reach your goals by working for someone else? Maybe, but I can tell you that many people who have made tons of money for their boss have lost their jobs because they were making too much money, taking valuable profit from their boss. It’s quite likely that you probably know someone like that too. Of the two pyramid schemes mentioned here, the boss/employee pyramid is the most unlikely to bring you success, but is the one most people think is the best for their future.
Of the two pyramid schemes, our team has chosen the one that allows us to build leaders, and to assist others to reach their financial goals. We want to assist you in achieving your financial goals, and show you how you can become the leader that you know you can be!

Pyramid Schemes come in two business models, one built to benefit the boss, the other designed to benefit the members of an organization. Which of the two pyramid schemes do you think will take you to where you want to go?
