Happy Mothers Day (Part 2)

A special thanks to Gwen, a friend on Facebook, for posting numerous Mothers Day things for us to read…and I’m sharing some of those here.

And to my Mother…below is the definition of a Mother. All any child can really do is to say thanks. We all know that words can never truly express how we feel about our mom, but as is always the case, that great debt that all children owe but can never repay their parents for all that they did for us, we pass on to our own children…or as the movie says…Pay It Forward! Thanks Mom, and I Love You! I hope you enjoy reading this…

A Mother is someone who looks down at the child in their arms and promises before their God to try to teach them the right way to lead a life.

A Mother is someone who feels the pain of a young one and wishes they could take it away, but also knows that some lessons are only learned through pain.

A Mother is someone who lets a child know when they are wrong and teaches them the consequences of not doing the right thing.

A Mother is someone who reaches out a hand to any child in need of love or discipline.

A Mother is someone who takes the time to show a child how to love, live, and learn.

A Mother is someone who bandages scrapped knees, wipes teary faces, and tries to mend broken hearts.

A Mother is someone who takes the time to just read a book to a child.

A Mother is someone who gets exasperated when they ‘just don’t listen’, but keeps on telling them anyway.

A Mother is someone who knows that loving a child doesn’t always mean you’re going to like them.

A Mother is someone who nurtures a child and teaches them the faith that can sustain them when times are hard.

A Mother cries when a child cries, laughs when a child laughs, and stands beside them no matter what they may do.

A Mother knows when she just needs to be there to lend a ear, hand, shoulder, or money.

A Mother is someone who has the love and respect of any child just because she took the time to show she cares.

A Mother is someone who reaches out to a child, not because of biological connection, but just because it’s what she knows she must do.

Thank you for being a Mother and Happy Mothers Day.
